SUMMARY:Rigger course P2.4 & P4.4
DESCRIPTION:The course provides insight into the principles behind the rigg
 ing equipment's construction\, operation\, use and maintenance. The purpose
  is to avoid unwanted incidents in connection with rigging operations.\nThe
  rigging course is for personnel who use or assemble lifting equipment and 
 manual winches and hoists. Equipment used for horizontal and vertical movem
 ent of loads\, and which is suspended in an uncertified structure (beam/pad
 eye). The course will also be useful for personnel involved in lifting oper
 ations on land.\nDuration\nThe learning initiative must have a duration of 
 at least 40 teaching hours\, and must be distributed over a minimum of 5 da
 ys. In this context\, a teaching hour means 45 minutes of teaching. A prere
 quisite for this training module is that P-2.4 and P-4.4 are taken consecut
 ively.\n40 hours\, with the following time distribution:\n\n\n\n\nTheory\n\
 n\n8 hours\n\n\n\n\nPractice\n\n\n24 hours\n\n\n\n\nTheoretical final exam\
 n\n\n2 hours\n\n\n\n\nPractical test for group 1\, evaluated by group 2\n\n
 \n3 hours\n\n\n\n\nPractical test for group 2\, evaluated by group 1\n\n\n3

 ref NS 9610/ NOROG guideline 113\,  8 hours\nAll pre-requisites must be do
 cumented by the participant in the form of a certificate of competence at t
 he start\, and must be approved by the training organization\, before the l
 earning initiative starts.\nFinal exam\nCourse certificates are issued
